“Dreamscape Column” light sculpture
as seen from the corner of Bay and Elm Streets in Toronto
Good morning, Labas rytas,
“Dreamscape Column”, one of my color-changing LED light sculptures, has been installed for permanent display in downtown Toronto. This is at the corner of Bay and Elm Streets, on the second floor of the Hospital for Sick Children Research Institute. This building is also known as the SickKids Peter Gilgan Centre for Research and Learning and is part of the University of Toronto.
It is an honor to have one of my artworks on public display in the city where I was born (Toronto General Hospital) and grew up (High Park North).
A one-minute YouTube video shows how this piece looks at night from this street corner. It can be accessed by clicking HERE.
The light sculpture is located in the second-floor lobby, near the entrance to the main lecture hall. It is here that local, national and international conferences take place. The exposure that this piece will receive is considerable.
While in Toronto I filmed a brief YouTube video of High Park. It can be accessed by clicking HERE.
Further information about my light sculptures is HERE.
Wishing you and yours magical, color-filled dreamscapes.
Sincerely, Pagarbiai, Dr. Audrius Plioplys
